Delaveaga Golf

Website Redesign // Branding

Delaveaga Golf Course was in need of a major update. The goal was to create a modern easy flow, responsive website that would incorporate their new branding and streamline tee time reservations.

The Problem
Dela’s demographic was desktop driven, due to it not being mobile friendly. That also presented the challenge of creating a course map that would be just as accessible on mobile as it was on a desktop.

My Role
Rebranding Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Content Creation & Integration.

RESPONSIVE WEBSITE

Golf reservations are the first and foremost goal of the user. I wanted the reservation button to track down the homepages to drive the importance of booking tee times. We also wanted to treat the newly renovated restaurant as a hub and draw people in by highlighting the surrounding recreational activities and historical spots with through a map.

Throughout the website, extra text hides in an accordion style drop down to consolidate information for mobile.

Through my competitor research, I found that it was common for golf courses to either only have a course map that is not accessible on mobile or one that is overly interactive and too complicated for our demographic.
The solution? A simple interactive pop-up and with a rotation of the map, it’s responsive on a mobile device!

Delaveaga’s visual design was inspired by some of my favorite ski resorts. We wanted to bring an authentic mountain feel to Delaveaga.

TAKEAWAYS

Through this project I learned to expand on my ability to design for mobile accessibility and fine tune my development process.

Key Successes
Dela’s mostly desktop driven demographic has become closer to current industry standards with mobile traffic becoming more popular.

We were able to celebrate Delaveaga’s rich history while bringing them into modern times with a new stylish look with a functional responsive website design.
